So in front of me on the coffeetable is my daughter's Biology textbook. Let's see, page 123...this will be a bit weird, since these are study guide questions, but a question is technically a sentence...there's the 5th question...and here are the next three. If you can answer these questions correctly, I'll award you a major prize.
6. Of the hyphae listed in question 5, which are aerial? (Sorry, according to the rules I cannot help you by posting question 5. You'll just have to make your best guess.)
7. What is the difference between a sporangiophore and a conidiophore?
8. Give the main characteristic associated with each of the phyla of kingdom Fungi: Basidiomycota, Ascomycota, Zygomycota, Chytridiomycota, Deuteromycota, and Myxomycota.
Did you know there was a kingdom of Fungi? I think I know where it's capital city is hidden. And Deuteromycota must be a biblical phyla (fella?)
Thanks Laurie, that was... fun. :)
I'm supposed to tag 5 bloggers;

To the first question, I answer "The second one".
To the second: the difference between a sporangiophore and a conidiphore is clearly that one starts with "sproangio" and one wht "conidi".
The main characteristic associated with each of the phyla of kingdom Fungi is clearly cota. Duh! Now, what do I win?
I think you must be right...I really didn't think anybody would get those. Laurie, you are brilliant!!!!!
The major prize, of course, is the joy of knowing you got it right! That's what I try to tell my twelve-year-old, anyway.
Knowing you got it right....priceless.
Well I'm glad I didn't expend any energy thinking of correct answers then, cause I would have been ticked off at you if I didn't get a REAL prize!
OK, why am I tagged twice and once with my name stricken?
Well, Missy, it's because at first I only put your name, but then Jennie wanted to be in on it, so of course I had to strike out what I had written and change it.
It was done that way to highlight the sad lameness of only knowing two people I can tag for a meme...
